Landmarks of Pamplona Tres

The church found in Pamplona Tres is the Last Supper. There is a chapel also found in Pamplona Tres and it is called the Resurrection Chapel but the chapel is only open every Sundays and when it is the Christmas season. Banks that are in Pamplona Tres are: Metrobank, UnionBank, BPI Family Savings Bank & Banco De Oro Bank also known as BDO. The only mall known in Pamplona Tres is SM Center Las Pinas.

The barangay

The barangay Pamplona Tres is currently being headed by Barangay Captain: Manny Ochoa. The green roof is the old barangay hall but due to the needs of its constituents, barangay Pamplona Tres recently built a new building adjacent to it (Orange roof) And next to the new barangay hall is the day care center of the barangay.

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1333

CREATING BARANGAY PAMPLONA TRES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS PIÑAS, METRO MANILA

WHEREAS, the fundamental aim of the State is to hasten up the pace of socio-economic development throughout the country;
WHEREAS, the effective implementation of the declared programs of the government on development hinges primarily on the administrative efficiency of each and every local government units;
WHEREAS, it has been the clamor of the residents of the proposed barangay with the conformity of the elective officials of the locality to create the new barangay so as to achieve a closer supervision of the execution of the developmental programs of the locality;
WHEREAS, the creation of the proposed barangay will redound and contribute greatly to the upliftment of the socio-economic well-being of the residents therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree, as part of the law of the land, the following:
Section 1. The following subdivisions known as Manuela, Greenview, Las Piñas Village, Verdant Acres, Casimiro, Manila Times and Keyville, in Barangay Pamplona in the Municipality of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, is hereby detached and separated therefrom to form and constitute into a distinct and independent barangay which is created to be known as Barangay Pamplona Tres without affecting in any manner the legal existence of the mother barangay.
Section 2. Except as hereinafter provided, all provisions of law, now or hereafter applicable to regular barangays, shall be applicable to Barangay Pamplona Tres.
Section 3. The present elective barangay officials of Barangay Pamplona shall continue to perform their duties as such officials in the newly created Barangay Pamplona Tres until the barangay officials of said barangay shall have been appointed by the President. Such officials so appointed shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the regular elections for barangay officials following the issuance of this decree and shall have qualified, unless sooner removed, at the pleasure of the President. Such appointive officers and employees as may be necessary to organize or complete the government personnel of Barangay Pamplona Tres shall be appointed as provided for under existing laws.
Section 4. Upon the effectivity of this Decree, the proportionate share of Barangay Pamplona Tres in the obligations, funds, assets and other property of Barangay Pamplona shall be transferred by the President to the newly created barangay upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.
Section 5. All laws or parts of laws as well as all executive orders or regulations, inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 6. This Decree shall take effect immediately.
Done in the City of Manila, this 3rd day of April, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Eight.

News about Pamplona Tres



MANILA, Philippines – An engineer was gunned down by unidentified suspects in BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City Thursday night.
Police said the victim, identified as Engr. Herminio Ducao, was in his Isuzu Alterra along BF Drive when he was shot by 3 suspects on a motorcycle.
The suspects took the victim’s wallet and other valuables before fleeing the scene.
Police have yet to determine if robbery was indeed the motive behind the incident. – Report from Arnell Ozaeta, dzMM

MANILA, Philippines – Investigators are looking into robbery as a possible motive for the killing of an engineer at the BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City Thursday night, an official said yesterday.
Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, city police chief, said the results of an initial investigation showed three men on two motorcycles shot Ermenio Ducao while he was driving his Isuzu Altera along BF Drive. He said the robbers took the victim’s gold necklace and wallet.
Sapitula said they are coordinating with the victim’s family to determine other possible motives and the identity of Ducao’s killers.

News about Pamplona Tres ( MAYNILAD WATER ENTERS )

QUEZON CITY, Aug 5 (PIA)  For decades, the residents of Las Pinas had been using deep well water, until Maynilad extended its services in this southern city off Manila last year.
Recently, Maynilad had completed its pipe-laying projects in the city, benefiting almost all residents of Las Pinas City of its improved services.
“Our aggressive infrastructure projects in the south district of Metro Manila is part of our commitment to provide more people with access to safe and reliable surface water, so they don’t have to use deep wells or buy expensive water from vendors,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.
According to Maynilad, the project, worth P344 million, involved the laying of over 61 kilometers of primary, secondary and tertiary lines along Marcos Alvarez from the Alabang-Zapote Road to Topaz St., including adjacent areas.
The said project will also connect 11,200 new accounts to Maynilad’s water distribution network. .
Meanwhile, Maynilad is currently constructing the Marcos Alvarez booster pump station. Once completed, the P73.6-million facility will connect an additional 49,000 accounts from Cavite.
Likewise, the booster pump station will improve water pressure to existing customers from 4–16 psi (pounds per square inch) to 16–20 psi. It takes about 7 psi for water to reach the second floor of a building.
For 2012, Maynilad earmarked P3.08 billion to improve and expand its water services in Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and Cavite.
Maynilad, a concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) currently serves customers in the West zone of the Greater Manila Area to include Manila (except San Andres and Sta. Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Hi-way), Caloocan, Pasay, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon, and also some areas in the province of Cavite: Cavite City, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario.
